Pains Wessex secures £5 million worldwide agreement with Survitec Group

Pains Wessex secures £5 million worldwide agreement with Survitec Group Chemring Marine Ltd has announced a £5 million contract win for Pains Wessex marine distress signals. The three year agreement will see leading survival technology company RFD Beaufort, part of the Survitec Group of companies, fit all its new liferafts and serviced liferafts with Pains Wessex SOLAS commercial marine distress signals. This agreement sees two of the world’s longest established companies working together to save lives at sea. Beaufort dates back to 1854, and RFD was founded in 1920. These companies have become leaders in survival technology, and now as part of Survitec Group, are at the forefront of marine and aerospace safety and survival equipment. Frank Moffatt, Vice President Group Materials of Survitec Group Ltd said: “RFD Beaufort operates in an ever more competitive world. We have recently completed a number of efficiency reviews of our supply chain with critical item suppliers. Pains Wessex has reliably supplied our group for many decades and this agreement puts our relationship on an enhanced strategic basis. We will be jointly developing new supply chain initiatives to leverage the efficiency of our long term decision.” Pains Wessex products will be supplied to RFD Beaufort’s manufacturing plants, as well as Survitec’s extensive network of distribution and liferaft servicing companies around the world.
