Chemring Marine keeps current on the MED regulations

Chemring Marine keeps current on the MED regulations Chemring Marine staff recently underwent a comprehensive course in order to keep current on the latest regulations from the MED – the Marine Equipment Directive. To enhance their existing knowledge, everyone at Chemring Marine, from sales people to directors, has taken part in a half day's course held in Fareham at the company's offices. The course included regulations for equipment which must be carried on board vessels, complying with the Marine Equipment Directive and the responsibilities on how companies must behave, regarding regulations and quality standards. Robert Hill, Chemring Marine MD, explained: “There are a number of regulations which apply to our products. The course was part of our regular training to ensure we keep up with these regulations. It was an essential refresher which everyone found very useful and learnt something from.” The course was conducted by Lloyds surveyor Graham Johnston and attendees received a certificate on successful completion. There are currently plans being reviewed for a course suitable for Chemring Marine distributors.
